Human Race Theatre
For over 20 years, Morris has been a sustainability sponsor for the Human Race Theatre Company which provides live professional theatre in Dayton, OH. The Theatre company provides audiences with award-winning, cutting edge dramas, American classics, and regional and world premieres. With a mission to “explore the human experience and promote enlightenment, inclusion and understanding”, the education and community engagement programs offered through the Human Race Theatre Company touch thousands and address the cultural needs of challenged individuals throughout the Miami Valley.
Wright State University ArtsGala
Morris Furniture Company is the founding and presenting sponsor for the annual gala that funds the dreams of students in the fine and performance arts at Wright State University as they work to pursue careers as performers, movie directors, musicians, and artists.
TedX Dayton
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to listen to exciting speakers. TEDxDayton is a collaboration of ideas designed to spark deep discussion and connection among speakers and attendees who join us at our events. These select speakers carefully prepare their talks, demonstrations and performances around a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. Morris Furniture Company Chairman, Larry Klaben and wife, Marilyn Klaben, brought Tedx to Dayton after attending a similar program in Ann Arbor, Michigan and we are excited to facilitate this continuous growth of ideas and personal development for Ohioans for years to come.
Best Seats in the Shoe/Ohio State
As an official sponsor of The Ohio State Buckeyes in 2021 and 2022, Morris Furniture Company proudly welcomed two Buckeye fans to every home game to enjoy the Best Seats in the Shoe. During 2023, we will continue to support the Buckeyes with an exciting new promotion. Details to follow when the Buckeyes kick off another exciting season.
University of Dayton
Through partnership with the University of Dayton, Morris Furniture Company helps provide funding for student athletes to further their education and compete in NCAA Division I athletics. In addition to funding athletic programs for the students of University of Dayton, we collaborate with the Dayton Flyers to recognize a local veteran during half-time of each home men’s basketball game through our program, Seats for Soldiers.
Seats for Soldier Nominations for the 2023/2024 season will be accepted Fall 2023.
