Morris Furniture Company is a sponsor of the City of Hope, which was recognized as the seventh “Best Hospital” for cancer in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-2023 Best Hospitals: Specialty Ranking. City of Hope has been recognized for 16 consecutive years as one of the nation’s elite cancer hospitals and we are proud to support this cause. City of Hope not only provides care for patients affected by cancer but promotes holistic care for many who are affected by other life-threatening diseases.
In 2019, Morris Furniture Company Chairman, Larry Klaben, received the Spirit of Life Award from City of Hope for his generosity, humanitarian accomplishments, and shared commitment to elevating the human condition. At the award ceremony, Klaben shared, “I am extremely honored to be one of the 2019 Spirt of Life recipients for the Home Furnishings Industry, an industry that has given so much to my family. Many of us have been affected by the diseases that City of Hope is working tirelessly to beat. My mother passed away of diabetes and my father had cancer, there’s no better place to invest in cancer research than City of Hope. My company’s mission is “Making Homes Great’ and I truly believe that the City of Hope “Makes People’s Health Great.”
